The November 2021 release is the 11th release of records from the Military Service (1916-1923) Pensions Collection (MSPC). The files relate to claims lodged by 1,469 individuals/veterans or their dependants and contain new information on the War of Independence and the Civil War. This release contains approximately 4,230 new files and bring the total of fully digitised files relating to individual claims to 38,730, representing 13,323 individual entries on the MSPC online database.
Taking into account all MSPC file series, approximately 108,230 files have now been catalogued and available for online viewing.

The only series available for viewing in the Military Archives reading room is the Medal (MD) series (online database available). All the other file series are only available online for viewing (description and scanned files). 
Files released include:


- 1070 claims lodged by women applicants (1064 unsuccessful applications lodged under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934).
-  43 successful service pensions awarded under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1924 (National Army applicants).
- 206 successful service pensions awarded under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, including 6 women.
- -107 applications under Army Pensions Acts (from 1923 onwards): wounds, disability and dependants.

 

Geographical quick breakdown:

50 individuals with an address in England (generally post-service), 1 Australia, 2 Canada, 91 Northern Ireland (60 women), 212 Dublin, 165 Cork, 116 Kerry, 108 Mayo, 55 Galway, 48 Wexford, 33 Roscommon, 27 Leitrim, 26 Cavan, 9 Offaly.
