Raid for arms on shooting party at Sheshymore

IRA raid for arms on private shooting party at Sheshymore, County Clare on 4 December 1919. According to material on file the shooting party was comprised of 9 individuals including a number of ex British officers. Fire was exchanged between the IRA and the shooting party with all of the shooting party and 4 of the IRA allegedly receiving wounds. Contemporary newspaper reports state that the shooting party included a woman who was also wounded.
