Ambush at Rathmore

A spy arrested, court martialled and shot. Body placed on Rathmore Bog Road. Ambush at Rathmore/Bog road ambush. The patrol was drawn to the spot following reports of a dead soldier on the road. Reported in file that 8 members of British forces killed and large amount of equipment captured - 8 rifles and 800 rounds. Houses burned as a reprisal. Includes 31 names of participants from Rathmore and 7 from Anablaha companies.
