Mid Limerick Brigade – 2 Southern Division

1 Battalion (Limerick City ):Unit strength on 11 July, 1921 was 681 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 661 all ranks.The companies of the 1 Battalion were all located in the city of Limerick. 2 Battalion (Castleconnell): Unit strength on 11 July, 1921 was 365 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 125 all ranks.The companies of the 2 Battalion were located as follows: Castleconnell, Ahane, Murroe, Cappamore, Annacotty and Abington.
3 Battalion (Adare): Unit strength on 11 July, 1921 was 573 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 308 all ranks.The companies of the 3 Battalion were located as follows: Mungret, Ballybrown, Patrickswell, Kildimo and Adare.
4 Battalion (Caherconlish): Unit strength on 11 July, 1921 was 266 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 296 all ranks.The companies of the 4 Battalion were located as follows: Caherconlish, Ballybricken, Fedamore, Ballyneety, Croom and Killonan.

An Active Service Unit was effective with the Mid-Limerick Brigade on both critical dates with a total overall strength of 67 all ranks. Personnel were attached to the A.S.U from the battalions of the brigade.
