1 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 629 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 412 all ranks. The companies of the 1 Battalion were located as follows: Doon, Cappawhite, Oola, Cullen, Templebraden, Pallas, and Cappamore.
2 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 592 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 330 all ranks.The companies of the 2 Battalion were located as follows: Hospital, Knockaney, Kilteely, Emly, Knocklong, Herbertstown, and Garryspillane.
3 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 315 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 258 all ranks. The companies of the 3 Battalion were located as follows: Bruff, Athlacca, Manister, Meanus, Grange, Loughgur, and Banogue.
4 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 591 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 373 all ranks.The companies of the 4 Battalion were located as follows: Martinstown, Bulgaden, Elton, Ballingaddy, Kilmallock, Dromin, Bruree, and Garryfine.
5 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 521 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 424 all ranks. The companies of the 5 Battalion were located as follows: Ardpatrick, Kilfinane, Glenroe, Knockanevin & Shraherla, Ballyorgan, Knockadea, and Cush.
6 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 333 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 199 all ranks.The companies of the 6 Battalion were located as follows: Galbally, Barna, Anglesboro, Ballylanders, and Kilbehenny.
