Armagh Independent Battalion
Prior to 1 July 1922 this unit was reformed and companies were posted to the 1 Battalion, and 2 Battalion, 3 Brigade, 4 Northern Division ‘E’ Company was posted to the Monaghan Battalion, 2 Brigade, 5 Northern Division. On 11 July 1921 the companies of the Armagh Independent Battalion were located as follows: Armagh, Ballymacnab, Blackwaterstown, Derrynoose, Middletown, Allistragh, and Keady.
