3 Kerry Brigade – 1 Southern Division

1 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 528 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 338 all ranks.The companies of the 1st. Battalion were located as follows: Caherciveen, Killoe, Ballycarbery, Foilmore, Kells and Coonana.
2 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 312 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 157 all ranks.The companies of the 2 Battalion were located as follows: Ballinskelligs, Glen, Portmagee, Valentia and Fermoyler.
3 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 458 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 237 all ranks.The companies of the 3 Battalion were located as follows: Knopogue, Dromid, Masterguihy, Tullig, Waterville, Baslicon and Lohar.
4 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 401 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 337 all ranks. The companies of the 4 Battalion were located as follows: Coomacloughane, Reen, Castlecove, Glenlough and Sneem.

An Active Service Unit was effective with the 3 Kerry Brigade with a total overall strength of 86 all ranks. The A.S.U. was effective on 11 July 1921 and remained effective up to 1 July 1922. Personnel were attached to the A.S.U from the battalions of the brigade.
