1 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 296 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 281 all ranks. The companies of the 1 Battalion were located as follows: Clara, Ballycumber, Rahan and Pullough.
2 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 258 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 286 all ranks. The companies of the 2 Battalion were located as follows: Cloghan, Banagher, Ferbane, Doon, Shannonbridge and Moystown.
3 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 279 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 196 all ranks. The companies of the 3 Battalion were located as follows: Killoughey, Kilcormac, Kinnitty and Drumcullen.
4 Battalion: Unit strength on 11 July 1921 was 199 all ranks, and the strength on 1 July 1922 was 262 all ranks. The companies of the 4 Battalion were located as follows: Clareen, Birr, Coolderry and Rathcabbin.
