04th January 2017 - Annual File Release 2017

The Military Archives has now released its 1986 catalogue of files released under the ‘30 year rule.’

The files are drawn from the Office of the Chief of Staff, Air Corps Headquarters, Naval Service Headquarters, Office of the Director of Operations, Office of the Director of Intelligence, and Department of Defence.  As well as material from 1986 the collection contains previously unreleased material from the Department of Defence from the 1920s-1940s.

The catalogue is available to download at bit.ly/2hRweiH and in the Military Archives reading room.

Files may only be viewed in the Military Archives reading room.
